Parking at Christchurch Airport with Shuttle Services
Usually called shuttle parking or ‘park and ride,’ this type of Christchurch car parking is one of the most economical ways to park your car when departing from the airport.
These car parks are situated further from the terminals and offer more competitive rates than those within walking distance of the terminals.
To make up for the extra distance, the park and ride options provide complimentary shuttle bus services in both directions.
Arrival:
- On the day of departure, drive to the address of the chosen car park
- If you pre-booked your parking, the gate will automatically open. If it doesn't scan the credit / debit card used to make your booking
- After parking, head to the bus stop located outside the car park on Ron Guthrey Rd. The shuttle runs every 30 minutes.
Return:
- After collecting your luggage, head to the shuttle bus stop outside the terminal, behind the Novotel. The shuttle runs every 30 minutes.
Park and Ride Christchurch ($167.00 for 1 week)
The Park and Ride Christchurch facility is a 10-minute shuttle ride from the terminal and is open 24/7.
This car park offers shuttle transfers every 30 minutes, 24/7, except for between 1:45 a.m. - 2:15 a.m., when it does not run.
Due to the scheduled shuttle timetable, we recommend arriving at the car park at least 30 minutes before you need to be at the check-in desks.

There's no time limit here, but with only 60 bays, it can fill up quickly during peak times or when multiple flights are landing.
2. Short-Stay Car Park:
Located just a 3-minute walk from the terminal, the Short-Stay Car Park is ideal for terminal access within walking distance.
Rates start at $34 for 3-4 hours, $86 for 1-2 days, $144 for 3-4 days, and $26 per day after that.
For stays longer than 3-4 days, or even a few hours, consider the Long Stay Car Park for better rates on extended parking.
